Just won a Jiu-Jitsu Tournament

I started training Jiu-Jitsu in 2005. I started in the No-Gi grappling and had competed 5 times in 2006, once in 2007 and once in 2008. None of those turned out in a win. So I almost gave up, got married, had a daughter and barely trained. I started training in Traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Allan Goes in 2007 then got my Blue Belt in 2008 and has been working hard to get my Purple Belt. So, I decided to join this tournament at Copa Pacifica 14 in Westminster, CA.

Finally, I won my first match and had a chance to go to the finals and won the finals. WOW! What a great feeling. Better yet, ALL my teammates won their matches and a couple placed 2nd losing in their final matches and a couple others won the championships in their Belt and Weight category. What an adventure.
