A friend of ours played professional baseball and in international competitions. He happens to know some Philippine Basketball legends as my friend was coached by a basketball guru himself.

Notably, I got to meet with Benjie Paras of Shell, Kenneth Duremdes of Sta.Lucia, Bong Alvarez and Jojo Lastimosa of Alaska, Jerry Codinera and Alvin Patrimonio of Purefoods, EJ Feihl of Ginebra who happens to be the only 7 foot player who ever played in the Philippines – he is also our neighbor in the Philippines. It was great to reconnect with EJ.

I was more star-strucked by Onyok Velasco, a Silver Medalist in the Atlanta 1996 Olympics for Boxing. He was Manny Pacquiao’s inspiration to success.
